Sonas Cottage is beautifully situated, overlooking a sea loch and with the North Harris hills providing a spectacular backdrop. Perfect for those who enjoy hillwalking as well as those who prefer to take in the scenery from an armchair.

Purpose built for couples, it is ideally situated on the island of Harris and Lewis, its central location providing the perfect base for exploring. The main village of Tarbert with restaurants and shops is only 10 minutes drive away.

The cottage benefits from luxury touches such as sauna, cinema room, multi-room music system, wood burner, large cast iron bath and rainfall shower. The property is extremely spacious, with a 3 bed house plan having been adapted for couples, the other 2 bedrooms housing the cinema and sauna room.

Check-in time is 4pm. Please check-out by 10am on the morning of your departure. If you have any questions about check-in or check-out times, please contact us.

Sonas Cottage is a non-smoking property.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately we don’t allow pets. Any guests arriving with pets will have to make alternative accommodation arrangements with no refund.

No, Sonas Cottage was purpose built for couples.

There is a tennis court nearby. The cottage is also in an ideal location for fishing, walking and cycling. There is a golf course within 30 minutes drive.

Tarbert is the closest ferry terminal, 6.9km from Sonas Cottage. CalMac ferries sale from Uig in Skye to Tarbert, Harris. The cottage is 10 minutes from Tarbert. CalMac ferries sale from Ullapool, Wester Ross to Stornoway, Lewis. The cottage is 45 minutes from Stornoway.

Stornoway is the closest airport to Sonas Cottage. Flybe flies to Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh & Inverness.
