Offshore, smaller, uninhabited islands may also be accessed, such as the iconic St Kilda, a World Heritage Site with some of the most amazing vistas to be seen anywhere in the world.

The Isle of Harris

The rich cultural heritage of Harris can be seen in its archaeology sites such as St. Clements Church in Rodel, the chapel ruins at Northton, and its standing stones to name but a few. The living culture of the Isle of Harris can be sampled in the Gaelic language, in music and in song. This place is truly somewhere special, and the best way to discover how special it is, is to come and experience it for yourself.

How to get here

By sea – CalMac ferries from Uig in Skye to Tarbert, Harris. The cottage is 10 minutes from Tarbert. CalMac ferries from Ullapool, Wester Ross to Stornoway, Lewis. The cottage is 45 minutes from Stornoway By air – Flybe flies to Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh & Inverness.
